Pete is the founder and producer of The Insurance Podcast. In 2017 Pete and his partners sold their brokerage and while trying to figure out what came next between consulting gigs Pete realized he needed something to talk about. (Actually his wife told him he did) A year later the podcast launched focussing on discussing issues, technology, and trends about the property and casualty insurance industry.

6 (yes six!) years later and now with a co-host Curt Wyatt,The Insurance Podcast is an industry-leading publication that informs and educates anyone looking to find an edge and discover what is making the industry move. Pete has hosted numerous insurance CEO panels at IBAM, IBAO, and IBANS. He has presented for insurance companies, at the Trufla Technology Amplify event, at NICC in 2022 and 2023 and most recently as a moderator at Insuretech Connect in Las Vegas. Pete has been sought to consult and advise on various initiatives across the P & C sector including marketing, customer experience, sales and management. Pete was a former regulator and chair of the Insurance Council of Manitoba until the fall of 2020. He is a past president of IBAM and director of IBAC and chaired the IBAC technology committee.

When not in front of the microphone Pete is theCo-founder of Taycon Risk a start-up MGA focusing on bespoke underwriting providing broker partners an efficient user experience to write more and better business.
